1. Is the Connecta Rail suitable for 9C compliant aged care facilities?
Yes. The Connecta Rail is perfect for use in aged care and health projects, and complies
with New Zealand Building Code and Australian Standard AS1428.1-2001.
2. Is
the Connecta Rail available in any other species of timber?
We can manufacture the Connecta Rail in a number of different species including Jarrah,
Tas Oak, Spotted Gum, Maple, with other species available on request. Pine and Rimu are
stock items.
3. Is
the Connecta Rail system finished with a coating?
No. The Connecta Rail is ready for a clear or specified coating of your choice once
installed.
4. Do I
need to use a Backing Board to fix the handrail brackets or is fixing to plasterboard
sufficient?
Fixing to plasterboard is sufficient but we do recommend the use of a Top Flyte Systems
Backing Board for added support. Noggins will have to be placed in the wall at correct
height for bracket fixing prior to plasterboard.
5. What
grade is the Stainless Steel and can it be used outside?
The Stainless Steel is grade 316 and can be used outdoors with treated handrail.
